Welcome to the Pack.
We are Lucky Puppy. My wife and I run our behavior-focused dog care right out of our home in Nyack, NY. Our flagship services are boarding, daycare, and training but with a certain...je ne sais quoi. We don't just watch dogs here, we socialize them and we train them.
Staying with us is an experience. We regularly bring the dogs to social places like coffee shops, bustly town events, or even Home Depot. Other days we just hang out at the house and chill. We carefully guide all dogs on how we expect them to behave in all these situations.
During their stay all dogs will go through our "orientation" which includes reinforcing house manners and leash etiquette. We'll be out and about quite a bit so walking nicely is taught immediately, and on days we're at home, they'll learn how to be calm in the house.
A standard part of our services is training education for you, the parent. Does your dog pull on the leash? Run out of doors? Problems with other dogs? Hyperactive? Separation Anxiety? We'll teach you how to lead with calm energy so your dog can behave perfectly in and out of the house. Strangers always compliment how good our dogs are.

What We Offer
Boarding
We offer world class boarding care for our clients. During their stay, your dog will become part of our daily routine. We'll walk, hike, rest and eat together. Every dog becomes a member of the pack
Fun photos and updates will be included as well. Your dog will miss us when you pick them up.
We want you to be able to take your dog anywhere. The park, the bank, coffee shop, you name it. During a Board and Train, your dog will stay in our home while we train them.
At minimum we will master the basic commands and perfect leash walking. Further behavior modification will be discussed case by case.

Our Story
Welcome to Lucky Puppy. My wife and I run a dog care company right out of our quaint home in Nyack. Our dog handling experience began back when we were living in NYC. I worked for a small dog walking company and we started dog sitting for friends and family at home. We quickly learned that working with dogs was a calling for us. Right before the pandemic, we got our own wonderful dog Ember and since then, dogs have been a huge part of our life.
In 2022, we decided that we'd leave the city to begin a new chapter of our life together. We started Lucky Puppy because we wanted to share our experience and love of dogs with this wonderful community, and we've been able to do just that. Since our launch as a modest sitting company, we've added daycare and training to our list of offerings. We are truly living out our dream and can't wait to see where this journey will take us.
